A police constable in Laikipia County has been arrested for allegedly possessing stolen uniforms and equipment belonging to fellow officers. The suspect, identified as PC Mohamud Adow, works at the Ngobit Police Station in Laikipia Central.
The arrest followed a thorough search of his residence, led by the station's Officer Commanding Station (OCS), Gideon Kamitu, and his deputy, Lilly Kambura, along with a team of officers. During the search, authorities recovered items that were reported missing, which several officers recognized as their own.
The investigation is ongoing as police look into the circumstances surrounding the stolen items.
